Vintage Dude
Made a cake for a special 50 year old Vintage Dude... I found the design on a website that sells 50 proof birthday paraphernalia. I used my CopyKake to help me recreate the design on a fondant circle. Writing on cakes and fondant is tough for me. I used Royal Icing for the design, which is also my arch nemisis. I can't seem to perfect the consistency I need... I will keep working at it...
Here are some more pics of the finished cake:

I Pledge Allegiance Flag Cake
My aunt asked for a cake with a "design inside" for her annual picnic. I settled on a flag cake. I found the details of how to do it from Glorious Treats. I envy her blue cake stand from fishes eddie... but I digress... I also made a "little" birthday cake for my second cousin. I used my copykake projector. Picture are below. Enjoy!
Here are some pictures of the "making of... "
Cakes are cooling for the flag cake. This is the batter for the cupcakes...
Stacking the flag cake...
How did I make this boy scout logo? With my CopyKake... This projector allows me to pipe designs I wouldn't be able to do easily freehand.

Here it is...
It projects this image...
Work in progress...

Baby Carriage Shower Cake
I broke my cake drought ( I haven't made a cake since May...) with a baby shower cake I made for my sister's co-worker. It was sort of a cake wreck- I didn't support the bottom cake with straws, so the weight of the top cake pushed into the bottom cake. By the time I got it to my sister's house it was looking a little rough... I'll chalk this one up to another learning experience...
You can see the cake is starting to sink...

Uncle Kevin's Birthday Cake
My nieces helped me decorate a cake for their uncle Kevin this weekend. We used edible cupcake tattoo's with edible markers to decorated the cake. They read "Happy Birthday, Uncle Kevin, Milk is awesome" . Milk is their dog's name... They piped the royal icing dots themselves as well.
Here are a few more pics- This one reads - Happy birthday with a few backward letter p's
All of the treats together... Zebra brownies, tattoo cupcakes and a specially decorated cake.
Lots of concentration...
Happy Birthday Uncle Kevin!

Momma and Baby Elephant Cookies
Made Momma and Baby elephant cookies for a friend's baby shower. I love the baby elephants, so happy for the way they turned out. Thanks to Lori's Place for the inspiration.
Lots of different colors and consistencies of royal icing... I still like the bags- the bottles don't work for me...
My "work" station all set up- under the window for natural light. A comfy chair and cookie racks to place the finished cookies to dry.

Easter Cookies
Made a few Easter treats for the kids this year including a cookie with a "secret" compartment filled with sprinkles...The inspiration for all of the cookies came from an image search using google.
I love that my uncle was "hiding" behind the pillar...
Made some special cookies for my sister's birthday, which was a few days after Easter.
Purple Zebra Birthday
Another one of my nieces had a birthday and got to choose the design of her cake. We looked through Pinterest together and she picked out this cake. She was really happy with the way the cake turned out, which always makes me feel good... Here's hoping they will keep letting me make their cakes as they start to hit double digits and the tween years...
Here are some more pictures...
All finished...
Bunny smiles.. :)
