Made Momma and Baby elephant cookies for a friend's baby shower. I love the baby elephants, so happy for the way they turned out. Thanks to Lori's Place for the inspiration.
Lots of different colors and consistencies of royal icing... I still like the bags- the bottles don't work for me...
My "work" station all set up- under the window for natural light. A comfy chair and cookie racks to place the finished cookies to dry.

Easter Cookies
Made a few Easter treats for the kids this year including a cookie with a "secret" compartment filled with sprinkles...The inspiration for all of the cookies came from an image search using google.
I love that my uncle was "hiding" behind the pillar...
Made some special cookies for my sister's birthday, which was a few days after Easter.
Purple Zebra Birthday
Another one of my nieces had a birthday and got to choose the design of her cake. We looked through Pinterest together and she picked out this cake. She was really happy with the way the cake turned out, which always makes me feel good... Here's hoping they will keep letting me make their cakes as they start to hit double digits and the tween years...
Here are some more pictures...
All finished...

Operation Cookie Takeover
I proudly participated in Operation Cookie Takeover- it is a way to show support to our troops currently deployed in Afghanistan.Their goal is to send 1,200+ cookies to our fellow cookier serving in Afghanistan, Tasha. She will be distributing the cookies to every member on her base on April 10, 2013. I shipped Nutella-Stuffed Brown Butter & Chocolate Chip Cookies on Friday. Here is the recipe.
I was suppose to sprinkle Sea salt on top but I forgot... Oops... I attached a message of thanks to the three dozen cookies I sent over. This was a fun project... I felt all warm and gooey inside, just like my cookies, when the package was ready to be mailed...
I broke out my food saver to seal the bag... What a fun excuse to use my foodsavor- I love that thing...

Bachelorette Cookies
Found inspiration from many different cookie artists from pinterest and cakecentral. Here are some pictures of the process. To make the heart corsets I mounded some royal icing and let it dry for a few hours. Then I went back and coated the cookie with another coat of icing to make it all appear smooth.
We made a special friend along the way...

Tickling the Ivories
My niece's special request for her birthday this year was to have a piano cake with Zebra roses... I made the zebra roses with black and white fondant, alternating petals. She was happy with the end result, which is all that matters!
Here is the birthday girl.
Happy Cousins...
For some reason, I don't think this will be his last visit to the dog cage... ;)

Bridal Shower Dessert Table
My first dessert table attempt was for my sister's bridal shower this weekend. The previous two blogs about the fondant frills cake and the petit fours were all part of my master plan for the dessert table. In addition to the petit fours, I made some fun whimical cookies that included ben franklin, the libery bell, the LOVE statue and my sister's two cat's- Penny and Otto. My mom and my sister's future mother in law helped me decorate the cookies as well. I added some blue and brown candies to the table for interest, as well as some bite sized brownies made by Anita. I finished the table with a fun candy bar that included lollipops from Dylan's Candy Bar. The kids and adults found something to enjoy!
Happy Customers!!!
